INSIDE THIS ISSUE
Management Development

Welcome

Management DevelopmentI’d like to extend a warm welcome for our Corporate Alchemy network of clients, friends and associates to this inaugural issue of Connexions newsletter.

The purpose of Connexions is to disseminate useful, practical information on important developments in the field of personal growth, team management, leadership and organisational change.  We are also attempting to transform the face of the ‘common newsletter’ and intend to convey useful learning and constructive information to our clients.

Connexions will provide short, thought provoking perspectives, a crucible for new learning and a forum for the exchange of ideas between business leaders, executives and professionals in their chosen fields. We therefore intend to assist you to make cross connections with your peers.

Each issue will include an interview with an eminent business leader, discussing their personal experience in transforming their organisation. Through this medium other clients may draw useful information, differing views, models and tools that they may apply in the progression of their own organisation.

This newsletter proudly hosts, renowned CLO Nick Deeming, currently Group General Counsel at Christie’s, the world's leading art business with 2006 global auction sales totalling £2.51 billion. Nick provides his views on developing the business leader mindset in professional services, as opposed to remaining as the ‘technical expert’.

In each Connexions issue you will also find articles from our team, highlighting some of the concerns they are dealing with in their work with clients today. In this issue John Hannon, our senior executive coach addresses Purpose and Meaning in the workplace, William Wallace focuses on The Key Message in presentations and Carolyn Clarke speaks of increasing engagement in personal and team development, using 360 degree assessment feedback.

In future issues we intend to provide a “Client Forum”, where your views can be represented and issues actively debated.  Therefore, we welcome your feedback and unique perspectives, either directly reflecting on what we have written, or more generally on issues that are of concern to you and your organisation. Please write to us – either to penny@corpalc.com or connexions@corpalc.com. We look forward to hearing from you.
